- 1990 graduate from Auburn University with a degree in interior design.
- Currently pursuing her Associate in Insurance Account Management designation.

- Community and school volunteer for many years. Now an empty nester, she enjoys time with family, friends, her two rescue dogs, and cheering on her Auburn Tigers.
