Commercial Lines Account Manager
Position Summary:
The primary function of this position is to provide superior service to our valued clients. A Commercial Lines Property and Casualty Account Manager at The Turner Agency, Inc., is the daily liaison between our insurance partners, our team, and our clients.
This position involves analyzing the individual needs of a client, providing customized insurance solutions, improving customer retention, and working closely with our Commercial Lines team. You will collaborate with producers and account managers to serve our clients and reach our strategic business goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in onboarding new clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Provide consistent, accurate, and timely communication to clients through verbal and written correspondence.
- Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures. Document electronic files accordingly.
- Maintain client files in Applied Epic and use Epic for processing all transactions.
- Process daily incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Manage cancellations with care and act to save accounts (if applicable). Notify producer.
- Assist with preparing proposals and applications, submitting to clients and carriers (or marketing department); follow up to insure timely responses.
- Assist clients in making appropriate coverage changes; inform and educate clients about coverage’s, exclusions, exposures, and audits and document electronic file accordingly.
- Renew and re-market accounts as needed in conjunction with agency standards.
- Maintain client files accurately and consistently documenting conversations, sending confirmations to clients, adhering to all other automation procedures.
- Accompany producer as needed on prospect or client meetings.
- Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items; verify their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence.
- Review audits of policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.
- Set up finance contracts, billing agreements.
- Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Personal and Organizational Development:

- Understanding of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage & rate analysis, and account management.
- Knowledge of insurance coverage and an ability to communicate clearly to clients and underwriters.
- Informed regarding industry information, and new product information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Computer literate with experience using Word, Excel, and Applied EPIC.
- Desire to work in a team environment.

- Able to work under pressure and time constraints in a challenging environment.

Personal Lines Account Manager
Position Summary:
The Turner Agency is looking for an incredible, seasoned personal lines account manager, preferably with experience in an independent insurance agency. Experience of at least 1-3 years in personal lines is required. Since 1962, we have been locally owned, serving South Carolina and twenty other states. We have a fun work environment, and we work as a team. We believe in delivering real protection to our clients and we love what we do.

Summary:
While we work as a team, our personal lines insurance advisors are responsible for managing and growing their books of business by analyzing client needs and providing the service needed to protect the assets of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage new and renewal business for clients.
- Identify and resolve coverage gaps and/or coverage limitations.
- Maintain our high client retention rate by providing exceptional customer service.
- Address coverage and billing inquiries from clients in a detailed and timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients to identify potential liabilities and ensure their personal insurance is set up to provide protection for their assets.
- Issue endorsements and be able to proactively determine how a change on one line of business may warrant a change on another line of business.
- Educate clients on loss prevention measures.
- Advise clients on best practices during and after a loss.
- Prepare and present some new business proposals and annual renewal reviews.
- Maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated with an upbeat, positive attitude.
- Must be a team player.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid SC Property and Casualty Insurance license.
- 1-3 years in Personal lines required.
- Applied EPIC experience a plus.
- Experience working with high net worth clients a plus.
