Commercial Lines Account Manager

Position Summary:

The Turner Agency is looking for an incredible, seasoned commercial lines account manager, preferably with experience in an independent insurance agency.  Experience of at least 1-3 years in commercial lines is required.  We have a fun work environment, and we work as a team.   We believe in delivering real protection to our clients and we love what we do.

Summary:

Our Commercial Lines Account Managers are responsible for the management and growth of an assigned book of business by analyzing customers’ individual needs, evaluating options, and offering tailored insurance solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with producers and commercial lines team to serve our clients and reach our strategic business goals.
  • Provide ongoing communication with clients regarding their individual risks and coverage requirements, claims, new business, remarkets and additional lines of coverage.
  • Manage the renewal process following our standards; verify each renewal’s accuracy; ensure that all renewals are completed in a timely manner.
  • Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
  • Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency.
  • Able to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Initiative-taking with an upbeat, cheerful outlook.
  • Must be a team player/collaborator.
  • Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid SC Property and Casualty Insurance license.
  • 1-3 years in commercial lines insurance required.
  • Applied EPIC experience a plus.

Personal Lines Account Manager

Position Summary:

The Turner Agency is looking for an incredible, seasoned personal lines account manager, preferably with experience in an independent insurance agency.  Experience of at least 1-3 years in personal lines is required.  Since 1962, we have been locally owned, serving South Carolina and twenty other states.  We have a fun work environment, and we work as a team.   We believe in delivering real protection to our clients and we love what we do.

While we work as a team, our personal lines insurance advisors are responsible for managing and growing their books of business by analyzing client needs and providing the service needed to protect the assets of our clients.

Responsibilities:

While we work as a team, our personal lines insurance advisors are responsible for managing and growing their books of business by analyzing client needs and providing the service needed to protect the assets of our clients.

  • Manage new and renewal business for clients.
  • Identify and resolve coverage gaps and/or coverage limitations.
  • Maintain our high client retention rate by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Address coverage and billing inquiries from clients in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify potential liabilities and ensure their personal insurance is set up to provide protection for their assets.
  • Issue endorsements and be able to proactively determine how a change on one line of business may warrant a change on another line of business.
  • Educate clients on loss prevention measures.
  • Advise clients on best practices during and after a loss.
  • Prepare and present some new business proposals and annual renewal reviews.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with an upbeat, positive attitude.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid SC Property and Casualty Insurance license.
  • 1-3 years in Personal lines required.
  • Applied EPIC experience a plus.
  • Experience working with high net worth clients a plus.
