Past chairman of the IIABSC Young Independent Agents Committee.

Was named the 2013 South Carolina Independent Agent of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of South Carolina.

Has served as a South Carolina State Senator for District 8 since 2012.

Enjoys hunting, playing golf, and spending family time at Clemson games.
