The National Safety Council recognizes April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of vehicle accidents, posing significant risks to both individuals and businesses. On average, nine people a day are killed in distracted driving crashes. And in South Carolina, two crashes every hour involve a distracted driver.
“Distracted driving causes most of the accidents our clients report,” said Curtis Bull, Vice-President of The Turner Agency. “And while texting is not the only way to drive distracted, texting and driving is six times more dangerous than driving drunk.”
